Thursday, Dec. 12, 2019 (UTICA) – Dry weather persists Thursday night and for the first half of the day Friday until scattered showers move in from the south. Rain picks up late Friday night into Saturday morning, becomes more scattered on Saturday afternoon then appears to pick back up again late Saturday into Saturday night.
Saturday night the Mohawk Valley will stay above freezing but higher elevations will see a change over to snow showers. Scattered rain or snow showers possible Sunday then lake effect snow kicks on late Sunday and continues Sunday night.
We’ll have a quiet day Monday then snow Monday night, changing to rain Tuesday as temperatures warm into the mid to upper 30s in the Valley. Then back to snow as the storm pulls away. Arctic air spills in behind that storm leaving us cold for the remainder of the week.
