Temps bounce back Tuesday, few days off from the rain

Frost is possible across Central New York on Monday night as temperatures drop into the 30s. A hard freeze is also a possibility for some higher-elevation spots, especially in the Old Forge area.

Lake-effect rain showers wrap up Monday night and skies gradually clear, leaving a sunny and dry day Tuesday with temperatures reaching the upper 50s and lower 60s in the afternoon along with breezy westerly winds at 10-20+ mph.

A similar, slightly warmer day is expected Wednesday then showers are possible later in the week with a passing storm system that will leave us chilly again for the weekend.
