CENTRAL NEW YORK (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Temperatures drop below freezing again Thursday night with clear skies and gusty northwest winds. Breezy again on Friday and only slightly warmer than Thursday with highs in the 50s.

Friday and Saturday will be breezy with low relative humidity and thus an increased wildfire danger. Those enjoying fire pits and campfires this weekend should take extra care. Fires must not be left unattended and extinguished completely. Any open burning is banned through May 14, 20222.

Temperatures near 60° Saturday afternoon and top out in the mid-60s on Sunday. Both days remain dry with ample sunshine. Our next chance for showers (and thunderstorms) will be Monday and Tuesday. Details will be ironed out as we get closer.
