CENTRAL NEW YORK (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – A dry week is expected in CNY as the weather pattern remains stagnant, keeping storms far from NY.
With the lack of rain and breezy conditions, there is an increased risk for rapidly spreading wildfires in the area. Outdoor burning is prohibited through at least May 14th.
After a few chilly mornings during the first half of the week, temperatures will top out in the 70s then 80s Thursday through Sunday. The weather remains dry all week long but the pattern breaks down for the weekend. Scattered showers and thunderstorms are possible on both weekend days.
