Snow & Ice for CNY Wednesday Night, Arctic Chill by Friday

A little lake effect snow is possible Tuesday night, along & north of the Thruway. 1-2″ possible in that band by morning. Wednesday will be a quiet day offering partial sunshine ahead of our next storm system.

Snow spreads across CNY Wednesday night and will bring 2-6″ to the area by midday Thursday. Light icing also possible for most. Some rain & freezing rain may mix in, especially south of Rte 20 Thursday morning.

A round of snow showers then possibly late Thursday as a cold front comes through, ushering in an Arctic airmass for the end of the week. Temperatures only top out around 10° on Friday and will drop well below zero Friday night.
