Temperatures continue to run above average on Wednesday will highs in the mid-40s in the Utica area. Showers are possible during the afternoon and evening and will continue into Wednesday night with the passage of a warm front.

Temperatures surge on Thursday into the lower 60s in the afternoon, shattering old record highs for that date (Dec 16th). Showers may bookend the day but plenty of dry time is expected in between. Highs are back in the 40s on Friday, a quiet day ahead of the next storm system.

A storm will bring snow and rain to the area on Saturday with temperatures topping out in the upper 30s. Lake effect snow is possible Saturday night and Sunday morning.
