Friday will be another unseasonably warm day in Central New York with highs ranging from the upper 60s to the mid-70s. There’s a small chance for a few scattered showers on Friday with thunder and lightning also possible in the evening and overnight hours.
Showers and strong thunderstorms are likely on Saturday as a strong cold front passes through NY. That finally ushers in fall weather for Sunday and beyond.
Cool, crisp air will flow into the region on Sunday leading to lake effect rain showers and mostly cloudy skies. Temperatures will top out in the mid-50s and another chilly day is expected Monday with frost possible for some Monday night.
