Snowy Friday & Saturday, Squalls Possible


Light snow continues to impact Central New York Thursday night and all day Friday. Generally, 1-3″ of light snow is expected to fall over the course of the storm.

Additional accumulations due to lake-effect snow are possible Friday night and Saturday. Dangerous snow squalls are possible during this time as well. Squalls can drop a quick few inches of snow and create brief whiteouts.

The weather turns quiet for Sunday but a snowy pattern sets up for next week. Snow possible Sunday night into Monday with rain mixing in Monday afternoon as temperatures reach the mid to upper 30s.
