Mild weekend ahead, long term trends indicate warm rest of September

A pleasant, warm weekend is expected with temperatures reaching the mid to upper 70s. A slow-moving cold front will bring scattered showers and thunderstorms to Central New York on Sunday that continue into Sunday night.

Temperatures remain mild next week with highs in the 70s (near 80 some days) and nights in the 50s and 60s. Occasional showers and thunderstorms are possible, especially on Wednesday. Long-term trends for the remainder of the month of September indicate warmer than normal temperatures are likely as we transition from summer into fall.
