CENTRAL NEW YORK (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Temperatures fall below freezing on Friday night leading to a cold start to the weekend. On Saturday, temperatures top out in the 50s and clouds take over in the afternoon. There is a chance for some spotty showers later in the day.

Temperatures surge on Sunday into the 60s and low 70s in spots. Clouds will be a nuisance for some and could keep the North Country from warming beyond the 50s.

We manage another warm day in the 70s on Monday but with a chance for showers later in the day. On Tuesday, temperatures are back to normal before turning cold again by Wednesday. With colder temps, both rain and snow showers will be possible Wed/Thu.
