A flash flood watch is in effect for parts of Central New York.
Monday, August 3, 2020 (UTICA) – Monday night clouds will thicken up and scattered showers move in ahead of Tropical Storm (borderline hurricane) Isaías. Rain picks up Tuesday and will be heavy at times. Rainfall rates upwards of an inch per hour are possible. A flash flood watch is in effect for Otsego County but those living in flood-prone areas across Central New York should be prepared to take action.
Heavy rain pulls away Tuesday night and just a few scattered showers linger into Wednesday morning, mainly in the North Country. Thursday kicks off a stretch of dry weather with plentiful sunshine and temperatures gradually warming into the weekend.
