Heat and humidity surge, daily thunderstorms possible

A heatwave is possible this week with temperatures expected to reach the low 90s in Utica for at least 3 days in a row. High humidity will push heat index values (or ‘feels like’ temperatures) into the mid and upper 90s.

Tuesday a few isolated thunderstorms are possible and they do have the possibility to turn severe. Some scattered showers and storms will continue to move through overnight Tuesday night. Temperatures are expected to reach the upper 80s and low 90s.

Very similar conditions are expected Wednesday and again on Thursday with high heat and humidity, plentiful sunshine, and occasional thunderstorms.
