Flood Watch goes in effect at midnight on Monday April 15th for all of Herkimer, Hamilton, Fulton, and Montgomery counties. This is posted when there is potential for flooding to occur based of weather forecasts.
A low pressure system will work through the region Sunday afternoon thru Monday. Heaviest rain from this system looks to move in after midnight Monday and continue thru the day. The greatest risk of flooding during this time will be in areas that expierence heaviest rainfall.
Runoff combination of both rain and left over snowmelt will cause creeks and rivers to rise in the area. If you live in an area that is prone to flooding stay alert and take action if flooding were to occur.
