Tropical Storm Elsa will be passing by to the southeast on Friday bringing strong winds and heavy rain to parts of New York and New England. While CNY will not see its effects, we will be dealing with scattered showers and thunderstorms of our own.
Though the threat of severe weather is very low, some localized flash flooding is possible especially in spots that have seen several rounds of heavy rain in recent days.
The upcoming weekend looks mild with highs in the 70s. Saturday is expected to be mostly sunny and dry though an isolated shower is not impossible. Scattered showers are possible Sunday and another busy pattern sets up next week with daily chances for thunderstorms.
