For Central New York, Tuesday will be a cooler day with partly to mostly cloudy skies. There is a small chance for an isolated shower. Temperatures will reach the 40s and low 50s in the afternoon.
Tuesday night the next storm starts to work it’s way into Central New York. We will see a warm front followed by a cold front which means temperatures will be all over the place on Wednesday; ending cold and breezy. Rain showers changing to snow are expected and some sleet and/or freezing rain is possible during the transition.
Due to the many factors at play for a late-season snowfall, the forecast is highly uncertain at this time. Overall, the impact of this spring snow looks low… but it’s not out of the question for some spots to see several inches if temperatures drop low enough; we will have to keep a close eye on that possibility.
