Cooler Days Ahead, First Freeze Friday Night

Wednesday, October 2 (UTICA, NY) – Another round of showers expected Thursday with most of the activity in the evening and into Thursday night. A cooler day, highs only in the lower 50s.

A few showers may linger Friday morning but dry by noontime and clearing skies Friday afternoon. Despite afternoon sun, Friday will be another chilly day with highs in the mid-50s but breezy; wind chill will be a big factor.

Temperatures Friday night will be the coldest of the season with widespread frost and lows in the upper 20s (Old Forge) to low 30s (Utica). A cold start Saturday then mostly sunny with highs in the upper 50s.

Back to normal temperatures Sunday (low to mid-60s) with another round of showers later Sunday, continuing overnight and into the day Monday.
