CENTRAL NEW YORK (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – Light snow is possible Thursday night with some disorganized, lake effect snow expected throughout the day on Friday. Most places are expected to receive less than 2″ of snowfall by late Friday night.

Some sunshine is expected in Central New York followed by a minor storm on Sunday. There is, however, the potential for ice on Sunday in the form of sleet and freezing rain. Roads may be slick especially in the morning.

Our coldest temperatures of winter so far are expected next week with sub-zero temperatures for all of Central New York on Monday night then struggling to reach the teens on Tuesday.
