Tuesday will start cold, below freezing, but will be 20-25° warmer than Monday; temperatures reach the mid to upper 60s in the afternoon. Clouds roll in by Wednesday morning and scattered showers are expected off and on throughout the day.
Rain will, at some point, change over snow on Wednesday night with a few inches possible by Thursday morning. It is too soon to talk about how much snow will fall, but a shovelable amount looks increasingly likely.
Lake effect snow will then be possible Thursday and Thursday night with additional accumulations possible. Flurries may linger into Friday.
Temperatures later this week will only warm into the mid 30s in the afternoons, falling into the teens and low 20s at night.
