Former NASCAR driver and current TV commentator Dale Earnhardt Jr. was in a plane crash Thursday afternoon in Tennessee. On board the private jet was Earnhardt, his wife and their child. No serious injuries have been reported.
Elizabethton, Tenn Fire Chief Barry Carrier says Dale Earnhardt Jr. and his wife were on the plane that crashed at the Elizabethton Airport this afternoon. Chief Carrier says they were not injured.
ABC News reports that the plane rolled off the runway after landing. There were two pilots on board the aircraft. Earnardt Jr was the only passenger who was taken to a hospital. He was said to have suffered cuts and abrasions. The former stock car driver’s wife, Amy, and their child, Isla, were also on the plane.
