Whitesboro baseball falls in regionals

Whitesboro baseball’s state title quest falls short.

The Warriors lost to Ballston Spa 4-2 on Saturday afternoon in the Class A Regionals.

Whitesboro entered the bottom of the sixth inning clinging to a 2-1 lead, but Ballston Spa plated three runs off starter Avery Cook to secure the win.

The Warriors end their season with an overall record of 16-5 and will enter next season as the defending Section III Class A champions.
