ILION, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The Central Valley Thunder had to sweat out every second of their victory on Thursday night, needing a last-minute defensive stop to knock off Chittenango, 20-19.
Sophomore Braden Moreau finished the game completing six out of his ten passes for 55 yards and a touchdown. Moreau’s touchdown to senior Connor Dempsey tied the game up with no time left in the first half. Running back Xander Kenniston finished with 119 yards on 12 attempts for the Thunder (2-1).
Central Valley will face their biggest test of the season on Friday, September 22 when they travel to Don Edick Field to play the undefeated New Hartford Spartans. Chittenango (1-3) will be back on the road next week to face Homer.
