NEW HARTFORD, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — New Hartford sophomore quarterback John Vitullo completed only eight passes in their game against the Homer Trojans. Three of those passes were for touchdowns as the Spartans hammered the two-time defending Class B sectional champions, 62-8.

Vitullo went 8-12 for 111 yards and four touchdowns, bringing him up to 11 for the season. Senior running back Cole Raux rushed for another four touchdowns and 232 yards on 18 carries.

The Spartans (3-0) have outscored their opponents 158-36, but will face their first big test of the season when they face off with 2-1 Central Valley Academy next Friday, September 22 at Don Edick Field. The Trojans (1-1) will look to bounce back next week as they host Chittenango.
