Utica College to host high school football showcase

The best high school football players in the state of New York will make their way to Utica this weekend.

Utica College is hosting the first ever Prospect NYS Power 50 Showcase, with players from Long Island all the way to Buffalo taking part.

“This is a great database for college coaches to use across the country to expose our athletes here in New York,” Utica College head coach Blaise Faggiano said.  “We think we’re underrated as a state.  It’s a great opportunity to showcase all the talent and no better place to have it here than at the ‘Hut’ in Utica.

In total, there will be approximately 75 players in attendance.

“It’s going to be great exposure for our college and you never know, maybe Utica College gets a few of these recruits in the long run,” Faggiano said.
