UTICA, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — Utica City FC — along with the rest of the Major Arena Soccer League — released their schedule on Thursday, October 12 and fans will not have to wait long to see their local soccer team back in action.
Utica City will make their 2023-24 debut at the Adirondack Bank Center on Saturday, December 2 when they take on the Harrisburg Heat. That is only one of two teams that Utica City will see in the first month of the season; they’ll see the Heat four times — on December 2, 16, 17 and 31 — and rival Baltimore twice, on December 9 and 22. They’ll see Harrisburg twice more after December — in Harrisburg on Friday, January 26 and in Utica on Sunday, March 17.
Utica’s rivalry with the Blast could reach a fever pitch as well, as the two teams will meet six times during the regular season, including the season finale at TU Arena in Baltimore on Saturday, March 30.
As for the rest of the schedule, the Boys in Blue will meet up with the Kansas City Comets, the team they knocked out in the play-in game last season, three times in 2023-24. They will travel to the Cable Dahmer Arena on Friday, January 12 and Sunday, March 10, while the Comets will travel to the Adirondack Bank Center on Sunday, January 28.
Fans will not have to wait very long for an Eastern Conference semi-final rematch with the Milwaukee Wave either. The two teams will meet at UW-Milwaukee Panther Arena on Thursday, January 4. They’ll also play there on Friday, March 8, with a game in Utica in between on Sunday, February 18.
Utica will make its first-ever trip to Washington State after the new year, where they will have their second-ever matchup with the Tacoma Stars on Saturday, January 6. The only time the two teams met was in April 2022, when Utica defeated the Stars 9-4 in the Adirondack Bank Center.
