Sparrior Cup returns to New Hartford

The Sparrior Cup is staying right where it’s been.

New Hartford brings it home for a fifth straight year, blowing out Whitesboro on Thursday afternoon 19-5 from the Ed Wadas Athletic Complex.  The Spartans improve to 9-2 on the season and have now won 37 straight Tri-Valley League contests

Mike Fiorentino was right in the middle of the action once again, scoring a game-high five goals to move past Dave Misiaszek for second on the school’s all-time list with 167 goals.

Adam Mirza followed closely behind with four, while Amelio Ripa and Adam Mirza each had three.

With the loss, Whitesboro falls to 7-6.  They’ll be off until Monday when they host Fulton, while New Hartford is set to face Skaneateles on Saturday.
