Rome native Sestito parts ways with Penguins

Tom Sestito will have to find a new home for next season.

The Rome native has agreed to mutually part ways with the Pittsburgh Penguins organization, who he’s played for since 2015.

Sestito spent this past season playing for the AHL’s Wilkes-Barre Scranton Penguins where he scored six goals to go along with nine assists in 37 games.

Prior to joining Pittsburgh, he had a brief stint with the Comets in 2015, appearing in 10 games.
