Reid Boucher Leaves Canucks Contract, Signs with KHL Team

Utica Comets all-time leading goal and point scorer Reid Boucher has left the Canucks organization. The forward signed a one-year deal with Avangard Omsk of the KHL. TSN’s Rick Dhaliwal reports that the contract is worth $719,000 with a $143,000 bonus if Boucher ends the season as one of the top three scorers. That’s an increase from the $450,000 he was making as a member of the Comets this year. The Canucks allowed Boucher to break his contract last week. This means Boucher is no longer eligible to join Vancouver if the NHL season returns.
