Orange hope to be re-energized in ACC tournament

Syracuse didn’t end the regular season the way they wanted to.

The Orange lost back-to-back games by double-digits, first to No. 2 Virginia and then to unranked Clemson last Saturday.

They’ll begin ACC tournament play on Wednesday night against Pittsburgh, and hope to build some positive momentum ahead of Selection Sunday.

“I think the postseason is a rejuvination,” assistant coach Gerry McNamara said.  “I think it kind of re-energizes the batteries and gets guys on the same page.  It’s a fresh start for some guys that maybe didn’t finish the way they wanted to in the regular season.”

Tip-off in Charlotte is scheduled for 9pm.
