Oneida softball ready to do ‘whatever it takes’

History has been made in Oneida.

The Indians softball team is headed to the program’s first ever Final Four, thanks in large part to a 21-game winning streak that dates back to April 13th.

“They refuse to lose,” head coach Mike Curro said. “They’re gritty and whatever happens next, I’m confident. They’re dangerous and they’ll do whatever it takes.”

Oneida’ season was on the brink in the sectional quarterfinals, when they trailed Camden 5-3 entering the bottom of the 10th. They rallied for three runs to win that game and haven’t looked back since. Up next is a showdown with Eden on Saturday at 11:30am.

“We’re going to go work for a week and get better,” Curro said. “That’s the one thing I’m proud of them for. They’re continually improving every day.”
