Notre Dame, RFA baseball win on Thursday


Following a six-game losing streak, Notre Dame baseball has answered with back-to-back wins.

The Jugglers beat New Hartford 6-3 last Saturday, and on Thursday rallied from a 2-0 deficit to take down Proctor 3-2.

Joe Howard came through with what proved to be the game-winning RBI single in the top of the sixth inning.

Thomas Roefaro earned the victory on the mound, striking out six and allowing two runs in six innings of work.  Zack Brush worked a 1-2-3 seventh inning to pick up the save.

The Jugglers are slated to be in action next tomorrow against Oriskany, while Proctor is set to face New Hartford in a doubleheader on Saturday.

In Rome, Justin Swavely outduels Avery Cook as the Black Knights beat Whitesboro 5-1.
