HERKIMER, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) — The Herkimer Originals released their 2023-24 schedule on Friday, October 20 on the team’s Facebook page.
The Originals will move to a more permanent home court at Notre Dame High School in Utica, where they will start their ABA season against the Bennington Martens on November 5. They’ll also host the Binghamton Bulldogs the following week before going on a four-game road trip that will include a trip to Springfield, Massachusetts to play the 413 Elite.
The Utica University Nexus Center will also host the Originals when they get back from their road trip. They will play the Albany 518 Ballers there on December 30. They’ll go out on the road the week after to take on the Providence Pirates. After returning from Providence, the Originals will go on a four-game home stand that includes a return to Herkimer College on February 3rd to take on the Westchester Stars.
The team will also host an intersquad scrimmage on Thursday, October 26 at Notre Dame High School.
If you can’t make it to a game this season, the Originals will be livestreaming their games on their website, as well as the BoxCast streaming service.
The Originals come into the 2023-24 season ranked 22nd in the league’s preseason power rankings, and boast many local players on their current roster, including former Proctor standouts Lavoy Leggett and Trey Hymes.
According to the team, ticket information will be announced during the launch of their new website next week.
