The Vancouver Canucks made a trade on day two of the NHL Draft, that includes a goaltender that played for the Comets last season. Marek Mazanec, who played in ten games with Utica, is part of the deal between Vancouver and Tampa. The Canucks getting winger J.T. Miller in the deal. The Canucks also sent along two draft picks, including a conditional first round selection, to complete the trade.
In Utica last season, Mazanec had 3 wins and 5 losses in 10 games played. His goals against average was 2.99 and his save percentage was under 90%.
