An already special season becomes even more special for Cooperstown senior Jack Lambert.
Lambert was named as the New York state Class C Player of the Year in boys basketball, becoming just the second player in program history to receive the honor. Tyler Bertram was a co-player of the year in 2017.
This past season, Lambert helped lead the Hawkeyes to their first ever state title in boys basketball with a 71-61 win over Middle Early College on March 17th.
His best performance came in the state semifinals, when he set a final four record by scoring 53 points against Greenpoint in triple-overtime.
For the season, Lambert averaged 24 points-per-game.
