Dan Hunt is staying at Colgate for the foreseeable future.
He signed a brand new five-year contract to remain with the Raiders football team through at least the 2023 season.
Hunt has been at Colgate for the past 23 years and took over as head coach in 2013.
“Whenever you stay somewhere this long, you have opportunities to do other things,” Hunt said. “Colgate is the type of school that I believe is what’s right in this world and these players are what’s right in this world. To be able to take them and win, give them the experience that they’re having now and to be able to raise my family in a town like Hamilton is the perfect situation for me.”
The Raiders recently took home their third Patriot League title in the last four years and are now preparing for an FCS quarterfinal showdown with No. 1 North Dakota State.
