West Canada Valley softball is unbeaten no more.

They fell to Oriskany 2-1 on Wednesday afternoon on a walk-off single from Matteson Hoehn in the bottom of the seventh inning.

It took until the sixth inning for either team to score with Hoehn and Jordyn Conte matching each other pitch for pitch.

Maggie Burdick broke through for the Indians with an RBI double in the top of the inning to give West Canada Valley a 1-0 lead.

Maddelyn Hoehn answered for the Redskins in the bottom of the inning when she came through with an RBI single to right.

In the bottom of the seventh, Oriskany loaded the bases with nobody out against Conte, setting the stage for Matteson Hoehn to be the hero.
