WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – 14th-seeded Waterville was the Cinderella of the girls’ sectional tournaments heading into its’ matchup with 6th-seeded Westmoreland Tuesday night, having defeated 3-seed Jordan-Elbridge in the Quarterfinals by one score. Their glass slipper ceased to fit though against the Bulldogs, Westmoreland scoring in the final few seconds to claim a 39-38 win and move to the Class C semifinals to be held at Onondaga Community College.

Ella McGregor led the scoring for the winning side 15 points including three three-pointers, while Natalee Collins led all scorers with 23 points, adding 15 rebounds and falling just two blocks short of a triple-double.
