UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – It was an offensive explosion for a young Rome Free Academy team on Monday night, three players in double figures and 29 or more points in two of four quarters for the Black Knights in their 93-48 win over Notre Dame.
Sophomores Uzziah Grimes and Deandre Neal scored 27 and 18 points respectively and freshman Surafia Norries had 13 as he top three scorers for the Black Knights, while the Jugglers had just one player in double figures, sophomore Christian Babiarz who totaled 25.
This is the second win in a row for RFA and with two games remaining in the regular season they have a chance to get to .500 on the season, playing Whitesboro and New Hartford in their final pair, right now 8-10 with Monday night’s win. Notre Dame falls to 5-12 on the season, this their third straight loss with Tri-Valley League games against Camden, Oneida, and Holland Patent left to go.
