ONEIDA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Oneida boys’ volleyball team hasn’t won a sectional title in almost a decade, but on Wednesday night took the first step towards their first crown since 2015 by sweeping Vernon-Verona-Sherrill in three sets, 25-16, 25-17, 25-20.

Spencer Ingmire led the way for the winning team with a game-high 14 kills while setter Rob Paul had 35 assists. For VVS, Ryan Mitchell had 10 kills, Ryan Mumford had 20 assists and Nolan Miller tallied 4 digs and an assist.
