NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – As first reported by the Observer Dispatch’s Noah Ram, New Hartford star attacker Anna Rayhill announced her commitment to further her soccer career at Harvard University.
Rayhill will join a Crimson squad hat finished 25th in the country this season and advanced to the NCAA Tournament as a six seed, defeating New Hampshire in the first round before falling to third-seeded South Carolina in the second. That loss was one of just two all season for the program, they finished 12-2-3 overall.
The New Hartford senior scored 84 goals and added 33 assists in her four years with the Spartans and was captain of the team that was unbeaten for 59 straight games, the second longest streak in New York State Girls’ Soccer history. She was also named a United Soccer Coaches All-American earlier in December.
