HERKIMER, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Herkimer Magicians and Dolgeville Blue Devils split the regular season series but played their rubber match with more on the line Tuesday night, the Class C Sectional Semifinals for the winner and the end of a season for the loser. 4-seed Herkimer emerged as the victor in the third of three games between the two, winning 58-45 to move to a matchup with either top-seeded Weedsport or 9th-seeded Port Byron.
Charity Dygert was one of three Herkimer players in double figures, she led the Magicians with 21 points including 8 in the fourth quarter, while Bailey Bray had 13 points and Madison Marusic had 11 to follow. For Dolgeville Keris Van Olst had a double-double with 10 points, 10 rebounds, and also added 6 assists.
