NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Central Valley Academy Thunder boys’ basketball team is on pace for their best season in program history, entering Tuesday’s contest with Tri-Valley League opponent and reigning Class A state runner-up New Hartford unbeaten, 11-0 on the year.
They continued their win streak, leading every quarter on their way to a program-first victory over the Spartans by a final score of 72-65.
Jaylon O’Neal had 29 points for CVA, leading the team, while Deacon Judd had 26 in second. For New Hartford, All-Staters Zach Philipkoski and Colton Suriano each posted double-doubles. Philipkoski had a game-high 36 points and 13 rebounds, while Suriano had 12 points and 11 boards.
