UTICA, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Clinton girls’ ice hockey team claimed their second NYSPHSAA Regional Championship in four years on Saturday, defeating the combined team from Sections II and VII, Adirondack United, by a score of 2-1.
Casey Clausen had 24 saves in net for the Warriors while sophomore defenseman Mackinley Ronan netted the game-tying goal in the first and senior captain Drew Kopek scored the game-winner on an assist from Kate Elbrecht with under a minute to play.
