NEWPORT, NY (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – West Canada Valley softball carried a 12-game win streak into their Section 3 second-round game against Waterville Tuesday afternoon. That streak would extend to 13 by the end of the day, WCV defeating Waterville 11-1.

Kaylee Usyk had three hits and two RBI for West Canada, finishing just a home run shy of the cycle, and Hannah Burdick pitched all seven innings, allowing just one run while striking out 14.

West Canada Valley advances to play Thousand Islands on Thursday, while this loss ends Waterville’s season.
