WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WUTR/WFXV/WPNY) – The Westmoreland baseball team kept their undefeated season rolling with a win over Mt. Markham Thursday afternoon, 14-4.

The Bulldogs jumped out to an early advantage, leading the Mustangs 7-2 as the two teams entered the third inning. Mount Markham began the slow climb back, scoring two runs in the next two innings to make the game 7-4 going into the bottom of the fourth.

Westmoreland would blow the game open from there, scoring 3 runs in the fourth and 4 in the 6th to take it by a final of 14-4.

With the win the Bulldogs advance to the Section 3 Class C semi-final, taking on twelve seed LaFayette for a chance to go to the sectional final. That game is set for Saturday at 7pm at Murnane Field in Utica.
