Walk-off wins have become the norm for Proctor baseball.
The Raiders lived up to their reputation on Thursday afternoon, with Rob Conley delivering the game-winning RBI single in the bottom of the seventh inning after Oneida came back from an early 3-0 deficit to tie it.
Felix De Asa De La Cruz got the scoring started in the bottom of the second on a run-scoring single, and Josh Raymer followed suit later in the frame.
Brandon Treen extended the lead to 3-0 in the third. However, Oneida’s Lukas Albro came through with a bases-loaded single in the top of the fifth to cut the deficit to 3-2. The Indians would later tie it before falling just short.
Proctor is set to be in action again tomorrow afternoon against Whitesboro, while Oneida is off until Saturday when they play a pair of games against RFA.
