High School Baseball: Poland splits with New York Mills

Sports

New York Mills responds.

After losing a controversial first game of a doubleheader 5-3, the Marauders answered back in the second game with a convincing 14-7 victory over Poland.

In Game 1, New York Mills entered the fifth inning trailing 5-3.  With two outs and runners on second and third, Logan Murphy was apparently tagged out at first after hitting a ground ball to short.  The Marauders kept playing thinking he was safe, and both baserunners scored.

However, the umpires talked it over ruling Murphy was out and the inning was over.
