Hamilton men’s basketball season comes to a disappointing end.

The Continentals let a 13-point lead slip away in their Sweet 16 tilt against Christopher Newport University on Friday night before ultimately falling 75-67.

The Captains will now advance to the Elight Eight against Williams College on Saturday night.

Hamilton appeared to be in control early, leading 32-20 at the half.  However, Christopher Newton dominated the second half, outscoring the Continentals 55-35.

The difference in this one was rebounds and free throws.  The Captains outrebounded Hamilton 54-35 and went 18/25 at the free throw line, compared to just 4/7 for the Continentals.
