Hamilton field hockey in unprecedented territory

Hamilton College field hockey has reached a place they’ve never been before.

The Continentals are ranked in the top 10 of the National Field Hockey Coaches Association Division III Top 20 poll for the first time ever after jumping seven spots from last week to No. 8 this week.

Their previous high water mark came last season when they reached No. 11 in the rankings.

Hamilton has gotten off to a 4-1 start, with the only loss coming to then No. 9 Skidmore on the road.  Through five games, the Continentals are outshooting their opponents 98-57.

They’ll be in action next on Saturday when the pay a visit to Central Connecticut.
