Whitesboro girls lacrosse believes they left victories on the table in 2019.
The Warriors entered their final two regular season games with a record of 6-8, but they finished strong with victories over New Hartford and CVA to even up their record at 8-8.
“We’re happy to get to that .500 mark,” head coach Ben Schoen said. “I think our expectation going into the season was to be a little better off, but we’re playing well heading into sectionals. Ultimately, the goal is to be peaking at the right time.”
Whitesboro outscored their last two opponents 38-13. They’re hoping that success carries over into the postseason.
“We’re wicked confident,” senior Madison Davis said. “These wins show us we’re doing well, but we have to work hard in practice this week and (be ready to play) in our sectional game.”
The girls lacrosse seeding meeting is scheduled to take place on Thursday.
