Colton Saucerman received more AHL experience with the Comets this season than he had in his entire career.
He went on to appear in 24 games, scoring one goal to go along with three assists before returning to the ECHL’s Idaho Steelheads for the postseason. When he first joined the Comets in December, Saucerman had 17 AHL games under his belt.
“Colton was great for us,” head coach Trent Cull said. “He came in and moved the puck fairly well. There are some things we talked to him about defensively we’d like to see better. He was a great person, a great guy in the room and I loved his contribution to our team.”
The Comets wrap up their regular season with a three-in-three this weekend.
